Lealman Community Campus

Well well well...looks as though our little neighborhood won't have to worry about another corrupt charter school invading our neighborhood and overburdening us with traffic.

No more idiotic, inconsiderate, self entitled parents glomming onto the idea of their kids attending what they perceive to be a private school setting at tax payer's expense.

No more low class jerks parking in our yards, knocking over our mailboxes, blocking our driveways, throwing garbage in our streets and yards, screaming obscenities, and abusing their relationships with deputies for personal gain.

No more obnoxious teachers and staff filing false police reports, trespassing, or having screaming matches with their husbands in the school parking lot.

Ambulances and emergency vehicles will able to get in to assist, parcel delivery and lawn services will not be disrupted...

Gosh, who ever thought we would miss the school? Cause we don't. Oh, does that sound smug? Sorry not sorry.

And now, with the county having purchased the site and opened a community center we will not have to worry about dealing with all of that again.

What Will You Do Now?

So, Windsor Prep and East Windsor Middle Academy have voluntarily rescinded their charter, effectively ceding the "Hope For Windsor" battle.
Guess that means no more "It's great to be a Wildcat" war cries, huh?

I Bet They Will Put On A Good Show

Ooh I bet everything has been spit shined and polished for today's visit by Pinellas County School Board Member Linda Lerner.

Sen. Jeff Brandes Always Loves For Profit Charter Schools, Tax Payers Only When It's Convenient

Florida state Senator Jeff Brandes is riding in like a Carpet Bagger white knight to resurrect some "Hope for Windsor"

After weeks of  insulting the Pinellas County public school system, ignoring the fact that they were perfectly happy to have enrolled, and kept their kids in an F school, and of claiming victimization when it was their own lack of involvement and research that facilitated the Newpoint disaster, the frantic pleas of the Windsor Prep and East Windsor parents have been heard.

Letter

It's been a long, and very active day. Before I sign off for the night though, I thought I would share the letter that I wrote to the Pinellas County School Board, as well as many others.

Tick Tock...Tick Tock

I do so enjoy puzzles, especially challenging ones.

You know the the ones with a thousand or more pieces...and you build them corner by corner, section by section.

Good Question

The TampBay Times poses a good question in this article. So, whatever did happen to Alliance?

Indictments Galore..And The Tax Payers Keep On Paying

What a perfect ending to National Charter Schools Week and Teacher Appreciation Week...You seriously can not make any of this up.
So now dear readers...now there are criminal indictments..not just moral ones. Unfortunately none of this will result in jail time for any of the parties involved.

Halfway through National Charter School Week

In a poll conducted this past January, the majority of participants supported better oversight and accountability of the Flim Flam Scam that many charter schools, such as the Formerly Earned an F, but now Falsely awarded a C Windsor Prep Academy, and it's sister school East Windsor Middle Academy have become.

This article cites the results of this poll conducted by GBA Strategies on behalf of In the Public Interest and the Center for Popular Democracy.

Yet Another Board Meeting

Golly, these past two weeks have flown by so fast, it looks like it's already time for another Board Meeting to plot the future of "formerly and F school, now a fake, unearned C school" Windsor Prep and it's sister school in shame East Windsor Middle Academy.

I bet these meetings are a real hoot too. So much work to be done...plans to be made...hope to be had.

Wonder if they bring shovels to help themselves dig out from under the mess?

Ha Ha Ha Ha

These are the minutes of the April 13th  Windsor Prep Board Meeting. As usual, it's a fun read. I especially love the part at the bottom where they mention "improving neighbor relations".

Strong Arm Tactics

So, the hot mess that is Windsor Prep/ East Windsor Middle Academy may have caught a wee break, in that the Pinellas County school district's director of charter schools and home education, Rick Wolfe, is trying to win them an extension until May 18, to submit their "Corrective Action Plan.
Remember, they were given until yesterday, April 5, to come up with an acceptable "fix it plan",or face the districts' withdrawing its sponsorship of the charter

Apparently the drafts they submitted Friday were too vague ( i.e. poorly done) when it came to detailing how they correct things, other than that they were trying to disassociate from Newpoint Education Partners.
  Shocker...

D-Day Looming

Well, tomorrow is D-day for the "Rescue Plan" ordered to be submitted by the school, to the Pinellas County School Board.

Wonder how that is going to go?
Will they manage to convince the School Board not to revoke the Charter?
Will they let Alliance Ed. of Florida take over, or will they award the management of the really an F but awarded an unwarranted C school Windsor Prep, and it's partner school East Windsor Middle, to one of the other sharks management companies circling the water that has expressed an interest?
Will they shutter the whole scam operation at the end of the school year and just reorganize, apply for a new charter, and reopen as a new school to bilk the tax payers of Pinellas County out of millions more tax dollars?
  Who Knows! So much DRAMA!
