The following exerpts from documents submitted by Cape Fear Preparatory Academy to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction – Office of Charter Schools
Note in this paragraph "EDUCATION MODEL
The management agreement makes reference to the “Education Model”. Newpoint was to license
their model the Windsor Education Model to our school. The key pedagogical components
identified in this model are Project-Based Learning and personalized instruction. Newpoint
would handle all procurement and contracts for materials and would leverage existing contracts
with Discovery Education Assessments and Apex Learning’s digital content. As part of this
“model”, Newpoint would propose to the Board all materials, technology vendors, teaching and
learning suppliers and manage the procurement process."
