Lealman Community Campus

Well well well...looks as though our little neighborhood won't have to worry about another corrupt charter school invading our neighborhood and overburdening us with traffic.

No more idiotic, inconsiderate, self entitled parents glomming onto the idea of their kids attending what they perceive to be a private school setting at tax payer's expense.

No more low class jerks parking in our yards, knocking over our mailboxes, blocking our driveways, throwing garbage in our streets and yards, screaming obscenities, and abusing their relationships with deputies for personal gain.

No more obnoxious teachers and staff filing false police reports, trespassing, or having screaming matches with their husbands in the school parking lot.

Ambulances and emergency vehicles will able to get in to assist, parcel delivery and lawn services will not be disrupted...

Gosh, who ever thought we would miss the school? Cause we don't. Oh, does that sound smug? Sorry not sorry.

And now, with the county having purchased the site and opened a community center we will not have to worry about dealing with all of that again.

Another Corruption Implosion

Really good read on Mother Jones about an online charter from Ohio. It's especially interesting as you see how intertwined so many of these people are, and how corrupt the entire charter school industry is.

"...The program spread quickly, and Brennan’s company, which he called White Hat Management, seized the moment. Operating with little state oversight, White Hat advertised for teachers without college degrees, drew thousands of dollars per student from local districts for its schools, and billed schools hefty “management fees”—as much as 20 percent of their operating budgets..."

You may recall dear readers that Marcus May and many of his cronies here in Florida were involved with White Hat. Yet again, it shows that had any of the parents at Windsor Prep done just the tiniest bit of research they could have saved themselves a lot of pain, and the taxpayers a lot of money.

Let The Trials Begin

Looks like the criminals that ran Newpoint Education Partners, and the great con known as  Windsor Prep/ East Windsor Middle Schools are all finally starting  to get their days in court.

Steven Kunkemoeller will be the first, with many subpoenaed to testify...buckle your seat belts folks...

So Are Charters Really Better?

Just look at this report out of Orange County after school grades were released.
Yes, several charters are thriving..but conversely so are public schools.
However, statewide they have a higher failure rate.

I do agree we need to improve the testing and grading process, but maybe we need to stop funding these private enterprises and focus on getting back to basics at public schools.

Interesting

More people, school boards, counties, and states need to start standing up to charter school groups, lobbyists, and greedy legislators.

More Indictments

Just thought I'd post these here in case anyone stops by..

Marcus May Indicted on racketeering charges

and Not surprised by this

Such a pretty picture

Yet again, I am reminded of what a gem this operation was..it was all about the children, damn the neighborhood and it's residents. You drove a family out, tried to ruin another, harassed and bullied many...and you still lost.

The best part of it all is that the burden of that lies on all of the Windsor Prep families for not having done any research, and for having invested their children into this quagmire.

And lastly, I bet all the children whom you acted as though they would die if they did not get to attend this school are doing perfectly fine.
