MILLIONS Of Tax Dollars

  Well all you bunnies and chickadees...Spring Break is officially over, and it's back to reality for all of you.

  Last night's Board Meeting was a real eye opener for some, but in reality, it shouldn't have been.

  Today, WFLA's  Mark Douglas is reporting on last night's BOARD MEETING

"At a school meeting packed with parents Tuesday night, Jennifer Lucas, a consultant who wants to take over management of debt-ridden Windsor Prep announced that instead of the school owing a staggering $800,000 to the for-profit management company that currently runs Windsor, that taxpayer school debt actually amounts to about $1.5 million.

Lucas insists her North Carolina-based two person consulting firm Alliance Education wants to take over the existing consulting firm, Clearwater-based Newpoint Education Partners (NEP) and save the school from an impending financial collapse.

“Our goal is to wipe out the debt completely and we would be able to work directly with the board to backdate your management fees that have already been paid so that you are not on the hook for the 18 percent,” Lucas said Tuesday night."

   My question here is what is in it for them? 

  These guys at Alliance don't exactly have a squeaky clean background or track record. And now they want to "rescue" Windsor Prep and East Windsor Middle out of goodness of their collective hearts. 

Seriously?  If you believe that folks, well then I have a lovely bridge in Arizona to sell you, and it has lovely ocean views too.

  Honestly folks, shame on you. This should not have come as such a shock to any of you. Perhaps the full amount of the debt wasn't  easy to find, but most of the facts were readily available to anyone willing to look for them, or ask for them. It's all public record. 

It's just that none of you wanted to work that hard. 

  You attacked and harangued my neighbors. You attacked and harangued me. And you defended this school, all of  which allowed this to happen. 

   Honestly, a lot of the info has been linked to on many posts here on this blog. 
   It's all spelled out in the Schools Charter Agreement, and in the financial audits that are released for public dissemination every year. 
   What isn't there you could have gotten through public records requests of the state and county.

Shame on all of you for not doing everything you could to know where you were actually sending your kids. 

  So, to the many of you who said I was never going to get this school shut down ( which actually was never my goal) I say you are correct. 
  It looks like your spitefulness, laziness, over inflated senses of self entitlement, and disinterest in how our tax dollars were being spent on the operations and management of this school is what is potentially going to accomplish that.
