Apparently the staff, or some great mind (tongue firmly planted in cheek), thinks that a hearty bowl of pasta is going to fix three years of rude teachers and parents, property damage, personal attacks, traffic jams for hours every day rendering our neighborhood nearly impassable, and so much more.
No wonder they are an "F" school.
How about all the times that many of us approached them by phone and in person only to be insulted, laughed at, hung up on, etc?
How about the fact the parents keep blocking fire hydrants. How about the times a neighbor needed a police escort to get husband home from thee hospital?
Or the time all the cars refused to move out of the way for the ambulance trying to get to the end culdesac to the terminally ill elderly woman who lived in the neighborhood since before the first school went in?
Or the neighbor who had just had a liver transplant who was threatened physically when he asked a parent to move their car from his driveway?
I could go on (and on and on and on), but clearly you can see how much this means to so many of us.
There is absolutely no reason for this school to have treated this neighborhood the way they have. This is a tax payer funded, ultimately for profit entity., that is in the bottom 6% of all Florida schools. Impressive.
There is no reason that the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and deputies have refused to help, or further, have actually openly mocked neighbors and our neighborhood.
There is also no reason for the County officials to have been "studying" this situation for three years with no offer of any real assistance.
This whole situation is a disgrace. And it never needed to be this way.
And now, after all this, they want to appease us with some noodles. That's just nuts.
