Public? Charter? A Big Old Mess?

  I can not say how  entertaining  interesting it has been reading these news stories over the last few days. 
  The scramble is really on at the joke that is Windsor Prep and East Windsor Middle, and the Hope For Windsor crowd.

Charter Schools Are Money Machines

It kills me when I read articles or posts from gullible parents who actually believe that Charter Schools exist for the kids.

Read this from the Tampa Bay Times

Research...Vote...Stand up for what is right. These are our tax dollars, and the Senators and Representatives work for us. Yet we are giving them all of our money.

And Now the Children

So now I have a child who clearly must be a student at the "F" school Windsor Prep, or it's affiliated East Windsor Academy, because he can not spell. He posts with a Google plus nickname too crude to print here. Must be his parents are too busy too pay attention to him, or to worry about how he is spending his time.

Meanwhile the petition count is up to 68. Wonder if they will meet their new target, or lower the number again?

Money Makes the World Go Around

Money makes the world around, doesn't it? Well, the Charter School "Professionals" sure seem to think so. In fact, they know it...that's why they are in the game so to speak.

In 2013, the Tampa Bay Times published this article, Tampabay.com, on a Hillsborough County Charter school possibly charging inappropriate fees.

"Don't pressure parents to give money, they advised the school. As a recipient of state funding, schooling is supposed to be free. Don't use invoices for donations, as these imply an obligation.

And check with the governing board before a child is tossed out because his parents did not volunteer enough hours.

Just what can be expected of charter school parents is a hot topic as the movement continues to flourish in Florida and nationwide.
