Ah dear readers, the wonderful people associated with the classless organization that is the "F" school Windsor Prep can always be counted on to be charming and erudite.

This latest witticist states: 

"I like how you casually ignore that it does better than several other public schools. In my time there, the friendly environment and teachers actually taught me how to get my shit together. on Is The Petition On The Up and Up?"

   Well Muffin, that's just special. You must have been a real mess back then. Let me just remind ( or enlighten) you regarding Pinellas County Schools and their accompanying grades.

   You can see the last grade your precious school EARNED was an F.  As you can also see, there are MANY MORE schools with much better grades.
   Now yes, you were correct in that there are some schools that are worse than yours, but is that really the bragging point you want for your school? Think about the ad campaign....
   
"Windsor Prep...Hey, We're Not As Bad As Some Schools Are" or "Windsor Prep...At Least We Aren't The Worst!" or "Windsor Prep...Could Be Worse". Yeah, those would be some catchy slogans to use.

To quote from my July 15, 2015 post "Guess What School Is In The Bottom 300 Of All Florida Schools?" :
"  "F" school WINDSOR PREP IS in the BOTTOM 300 of ALL FLORIDA State SCHOOLS per the Florida Department of Education website.
     That isn't just the bottom 300 of the 615 Charter schools operating in Florida, but rather they are in the bottom 300 of  the 4,323 operational public schools PLUS the 615 operational charter schools.
       Now, to further break it down, there are 1,995 public elementary schools in Florida. 
        Next, I poured through the Florida Dept. of Education website, and called them, but apparently they can't figure out how many charter schools are just K-5 like "F" school Windsor Prep. All they have is the total of all charter schools, which as noted is 615. That puts them in the bottom 300 of 2,610 schools, which so far is as much as I can narrow it down. 
     Note too, this low score is based on just "F" school Windsor Prep, and not the middle school East Windsor Academy. (so far)
    But, I think you get the general idea, and remember, this all comes from the state of Florida's data.

And remember, this is AFTER former principal Jessica Clements told the Pinellas County school board at last years hearing that A- they would be switching to the Pinellas County curriculum and teaching methods, but also B- that these dismal numbers were still better than the prior year. HAHAHAHA. WoW. "

    But now it's February, and you might get what I'm sure in your mind will be a lucky break. Perhaps for the "F" school Windsor Prep it will be. 

    The State is getting ready to release the 2014-2015 school grades, and many "F" schools are going to have their grades amended purely due to the fact that the State of Florida could not test properly and efficiently, so therefor could not properly asses the actual skill levels of students. 

    So, in an idiotic decision, the brains at the State level have determined the best course of action is to just arbitrarily amend some school grades. (This is sort of like very kid gets a trophy, lol.)

    This means the schools will be given a freebie, and the kids still get short-changed. The grades will not have been earned or valid because we have no way of verifying what level the kids are at. 

    Who knows, some schools may actually be better, but I guess reality doesn't matter here. You guys will brag over any ole bone they throw you and be satisfied with your kids being there. SAD.
